Help... found a TII for sale... need advice!

Hey,

I have a problem... I found an 88 TII in my area for sale... It has 70k miles, no rust, leather, power windows and locks... you know the standad TII stuff... They want $2500 for it - but I wont pay that much 2k at a maximum- I havent seen it yet but I'm going to call about it tonight.

I have an 89 gtu with 106k on the chassis and 2000miles on the rebuild and its in need of a pass side motor mount, new struts(was going to replace with adjustables for auto x anyway), Intake air temp sensor (again I was going to replace that but I'm at college and the rex is at home) and some body work... Which will add up to quite a bit of $$$ (all were going to be projects for this winter break)

-So my problem is what do I do with 2 Rx-7s ?

-What are the major things I'm going to notice going from an s5 n/a to an s4 Turbo? ... other than the lsd, less headroom(sunroof), 4 piston calipers, and more power...

-Having a TII will bump me up to C-stock class from e-stock in soloII ... how much less competitive will I be in that class than e-stock?

-I'm going to review the buying guide in the FAQ sticky... but can anyone think of anything i should look out for on this car?

Thanks,
Rob

How bout focusing on school? Like you said, you are away for school, what would you do with 2 rx7s. Hell what would you do with 2 vehicles. I say if you need a car, get the t2 since it seems drivable and flip the GTU for the extra 500.

I agree with them. Sell the GTU and keep the TII. Try to negotiate down on the price, try to budge down 200bux or so.

But yea, you will definately enjoy the TII more. That turbo is awfully nice ....and soon it will pwn your soul!

I have had 8 R's, form verts to GTUs and I just got my first TII and rebuilt it and so far I am loving it, I think the closest in performance was the GTUs. The car is still in the break in period but is still fun and a great handling car, mine had 109k when I got it from the original owner as a non runing and I paid $1,500.00, so please keep the TII, you wont regreat it,
Carl
