Exclamation HELP fast , my damn car alarm keeps going off

i dont know what to do! my alarm keeps going off and is waking the whole neighboor hood.ill turn the car off , ill lock it, and it will just randomly go off and the only way to stop it is to unlock it. and i also noticed that the hatch buzzer on my idiot lights randomly lights up even when i have the hatch closed. not only that but it kind of flickers and dampers. also, this is the first time i have heard my car alarm go off in ever and i have had the car for 3 years.

thanks for your help guys

If your hatch light keeps coming on it sounds like one of the latches isn't working completely. If I'm not mistaken, one of the alarm points in back there. If the hatch isn't completely closing and the alarm sees it's up, it could think that the car is being broken into... thus setting off the alarm.

Sounds as though you have a bad sensor , If the alarm is connected to that back sensor switch, thats what is triggering your alarm. basically your alarm is tricked into thinking that your hatch is being opened while armed . any audio shop should be able to replace it for around $20 $30 bucks .

Take a look if it has been raining in your area. There are sensors in each hatch latch for the trunk. If the drains for the hatch/trunk are clogged and it has been raining a lot, the rain will seep past the seals and into the trunk/hatch area.

This leads to the sensors getting wet and the alarm false triggering

ahhhh i have noticed that the draings have been getting clogged and the i also noticed that the rear hatch has been damp...i think ill simply try parking it in a different orientation...right now it is facing a downward slope, ill turn it around so its facing up...if this works ill let it go for now. but it the problem persists ill get the sensor replaced asap... wheres the online haynes manual again?? i thought there was one somewhere on this forum. if not do you guys know where the sensor is?
