Help with electric gauges

I put this in the Race section, but i figured this forum might be a better place.

I was wondering whether someone know what would be needed to make these work. They seem to match stock FC gauges very closely. I'm not sure which imputs they need, and what the easiest way of hooking them up is.

We need a picture or a description or something to go off of. Usually most electronic gauges need a sender from whatever you are gauging and a power input, preferably hooked into your cluster lights circuit so you can dim them if you want.

Yeah, I don't own these yet. Planning to buy 'em, probably gonna need some sensors, which I will have to source, if they still exist. I might have to make other ones work. I was just wondering if I need some computer box like all the new systems have. Like Defi etc. Or if I they will work once I have all the sensors.

Thanks,

Riz.

I think the question is which gauges specifically? DEFI? Greddy? Blitz? Autometer? they all are similar but have different hook-up and wiring requirements.
SOME Defi gauges require the box, some do not. Depends on which gauges you buy.
Personally, I like the Defi for a street car but not for a race car, wiring and connectors are too fragile.
My opinion, IF your going to spend the coin for premium electronic gauges, just buy a race dash like STACK or AIM. Cheaper inthe long run, a lot easier to deal with, and they just work.

Classic HKS with peak / hold. There are pics in the OP. I decided to buy em, I'll see what it takes to make them work. This is far cheaper than a race dash, although I'd love to get one of those, definiatly when I go standalone.

As long as the gauges came with senders, you should be fine. It's just a question of mounting the sender in the proper location and finding a good spot for your gauges.

LoL! I no speak Japanese very good, but the pictures show no sensors, just a scary amount of wires... :-( So when I get them I need to figure out which sensors i need, and see howmuch HKS wants to screw me over, LoL! I just had to get them, they match FC gauges perfectly!

I'll post more pics in this thread when I get them. anyone having actual expierence with these gauges, anyone who works at HKS, or anyone who wants to reply, please don't hesitate to post!
