I need help.... I have been trying to figure out this cooling problem. Last night my upper radiator hose cracked and spewed coolant everywhere. I took that opportunity to replace the upper and lower radiator hose as well as the heater hose that connects to the lower radiator. I was going to replace the rear heater hose, but it looked like it was replaced recently. I put it all back together, filled up the system and let it warm up. as soon as it warmed up I shut the car off. Immediatly after that the rear heater hose blew a huge hole and leaked all the coolant out!
While it was warming up, i revved it and noticed that while i rev it the upper radiator hose would collapse on itself.
I am assuming that there is a clog in the system somewhere causing it to back up. How can I check for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, it is my daily driver...
FYI it is a 1990 S5 TII w/ a (relatively new) koyo radiator

Also, last night after i temporarly fixed the crack I did the champagne bubble test and there were zreo bubbles. The motor should be fine, it never overheats and only has about 8k miles on it.

Previously to this problem the overflow tank would never hold coolant. Whenever I would fill it the next day it would be empty.
The car had a slow coolant leak coming from the water pump housing. I would have to add a few ounces of water each day. I replaced the water pump gasket a few weeks ago and that fixed the leak. However the overflow still would not stay full. I have just been running it empty for the past few weeks.
Everything has been working fine up until last night when the first hose blew...
