HELP!!! computer/ wiring question

I need some input. I have a lot of experience with RX-7s but almost all is with 1st generation cars. I have a 88 vert with the N338 computer and a good engine. Suffered an engine fire. I stripped the top of the engine down and discovered that the primary injectors are toasted as well as the harness and misc hoses and sensors. Good news is that I have a complete running 86 GXL with a blown rear apex.

I understand that there are differences in the injectors/ harnesses/and computers.

So here goes:
If I take the harness and injectors as a setup from the 86 and transfer them to the 88, will it run correctly? Which computer should I use?

Is it true that it is the harness and injectors that are matched and that either computer will work as long as the harness and injectors remain fom the same car?
