Help: Car starts and stalls after 7 seconds, runs rough
ok i live in ohio...and my lill pofs rx7 has been sitting in my driveway in the freezing cold for like 3 months... i use to start it everyonce in awhile...and it would run rough..... so what i have done recently...is replace the water pump and gave it new plugs and oil, found the screw for my radiator, filled it up with coolant....started it up...it ran for like 7 seconds and then it dies....i tried it 50 more times...and after 7 seconds it dies...like its on a timer or something...when it does run..it runs real rough like it chokey rich..and popping noise in the exhaust every now and then... Could this be bad gas? cuz the gas has sat in there for months
Another thing.... i checked the oil before i changed it....it was a watery tan color...like it was real runny.. I drained all the oil and put new oil in...i checked the oil...and same result....but my car only runs for 7 sec so it cant warm up...wtf is that?
what shuld i do? this is total BS..

Your attitude leaves much to be desired.
You can start diagnosing your problem by draining all of your fuel and replacing it with fresh fuel. After that, invest in a new set of spark plugs and update this thread with your findings.

i have a new set of plugs.... right now i took the new plugs out and put the old ones in..thinking that was the problem...cuz these new plugs are not leading or trailing...the guy said they are all the same and will work in any hole... i thought he was full of it so i put the old one back in...but it jus takes longer to start...so tommoro i will put my new plugs back in.
these plugs dont have leading or trailing on them...the guy said it doesnt matter where they go...they all the same.. The car start up immediately with them in....
so is this a fuel problem? what if its not the fuel?

he ran it all in his computer, and looked in the mazda catolog and said all 4 plugs are the same.. the car starts right up with them in.... and I put MY OLD PLUGS BACK IN (all in the right spots, T's on top L's on bottom) once i spent 15 min turning it over, it started and ran for 7 sec and stalled just like with the new plugs...so it not the plugs i think.
If the oil keeps geting milky tan like you said in the first post, then the motor is blown with a bad coolant seal.
and use a proper title next time. Titles should contain a description of the problem, not some lame *** exclamation

OMG what a POS.... so if it has a bad coolant seal...it wont be able to start or be drivable? it still starts...omg wtf is the problem
ok i will check...but what is the firing order....any one have a picture/diagram of what wire goes where?
i installed the plugs one by one so it is highly unlikely i got a wire mixed up.

You need to calm down. These cars don't sit well with impatient people.
How about we solve this problem step by step? Start with draining the old gas and replacing it with new gas.

if this thing has a blown seal.......I will video tape this car getting towed to the junk yard....because that means i jus wasted my last $100 on trying to tune it up.
but yeah...tommoro... i will drain the gas tank and put in new gas.
and prob trade in my plugs.
how do i go about draining the gas?
diagram/picture of wires to correct plugs?

Damn nice picture...saved...... 383_RX7, first off you seem to have very limited knowledge on rotaries; seeing as how you dont know if you are running correct plugs, draining gas, etc. which is not a bad thing since we've all been there BUT you need to use the FAQ, the FREE Factory Service Manual, or get a refund and spend that last $ on a haynes manual. Do your searching BEFORE posting.
