help: car starts at 3500 rpm and stays there!

So while i was driving one day, I lose all slack in my accelerator. I check the engine bay and noticed the holder for the throttle cable came loose. I simply just rebolt it back on and its back to normal feel. Now when I start my car, it jumps straight to 3500 rpms and stays there for over 5 minutes. I thought it might be the cold start so i tried to start in gear so there is grounding but same deal, still reaches 3500 rpm. Confused now because I dont know what is causing it. Im gonna look at the throttle body later on today and still if something is in the way but hopeing someone could lead me in the right direction. THanks

You probably messed up with the throttle cables adjustment. Play with the "spin" thing until the idle goes down..

Can you start it, let it get to 3500 and then tap the gas and see if it drops down to the normal range?
