HELP! Car acts like the battery is dead! (feedback pls!)

I dont know why, but probly about once every 3 times i try to start my car, it acts like the battery is dead, and i have to hold the brake down and move the shifter from park all the way down to 1'st and back to park (its an auto). Sometimes i have to do it like 5 times too. And i have no clue why it does this, its like it acts like its not in park or sumthin. I can always get it to start eventually but its annoying as ****. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Please help me with this, its driving me crazy!

Does it do anything... like click, click, click?

I had the same problem before... never did figure out what it was.. but it eventually went away. I did fix all my grounds, checked the wires to my starter, etc..

Fixing the wires and grounds didn't work at first.. but the problem went away shortly after.

I had that same problem not that long ago. I thought it was my battery forever. Then I took it to get checked at Autozone, they also checked my alternator. It ended up being the alternator. I didn't believe it because the alternator that was on it only had 3,000 miles on it but it still was. I would recogmend you get both tested. Could be the same problem I had, either way, Good luck with it.

Dont do anything drastick, Im pretty sure its you batery terminals. just clean them and make sure all the ground are good, and tight, and that 'should' fix it.
