Craftsman's Robogrip's have been working pretty good for me while i've been taking off some rusty bolts/nuts and have that craftsman warranty.

Also, some metrinch's might work, but they're pretty expensive.

look little boy...stop being a *****, get off the internetz, and go get that nut!

jk, if that pipe wrench Saten has doesnt work because there is nothing left of the plug to grip, you might want to try an e-z out. ive used them as last resorts because sometimes they break and then you're really screwed because the broken tips are a bitch.5 to get out.

The nut i had was fully rounded and the "pipe wrench" worked great. The harder i turn it the harder it clamped. Let Jason come and try it out so i can shove it in all your ***** faces. Har har har. It's going to work so well, the bolt is going to snap in half and the remaining half will be stuck inside.

I will take pics at the next oppertunity, just want to get all my info ready and options before i go down there again.

Thanks trini, rob, gian for the hints, and everyone else that provides useful info to the post. I think im just gonna go buy a few of these tools to keep around, cuz im sure ill come by stripped nuts/bolts again working on a 7.

alot of the time spraying some PB blaster, and hammering the RIGHT size 6 point socket on there and hitting it with an impact will take it off. between "impacting" spray some PB on there. a couple times through this procedure will take it off if the 6 point socket will grab it.

If you REALLY want to get the plug out - weld a bead right in the middle of it with a TIG or wire feed MIG. Put a new nut over the bead and weld it to the plug.

Use a socket wrench on the nut and remove the plug.

did you try twist outs? they are basically a socket but spiraled on the inside so it bites the nut or bolt as you turn it off. my shop has them for those really tight stripped lug nuts or wheel locks that have no key. its called hex head fastener extractor, just find the correct size cuz that nut is quite large like 21mm or 22mm. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog
