Help with body kit info

I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased a body kit from ebay before? I am ready to pull the trigger on the GPS kit offered by Carbon_Revolution who happens to have excellent feedback. The kit is obviously a fraction of the cost of the real thing and is a direct fit. Tell me what you think and if you have purchased from these guys.

It looks great and for much less then the real kit it kind of seems worth the risk?

"Direct fit" is more than likely case by case. Some might have fitment issues, some might not. I'd be willing to bet that they might need some work. Like with most things, you get what you pay for.

Very interesting insight. I know it comes down to the old saying "buyer beware" but these guys have great feedback? I guess what I am trying to say, is I am up for the challenge and will keep everyone posted as I make progress.

I think I have to buy this damn kit because it is eating me up everyday and I kind of became obsessed with it in a way.

Sounds good. I know if I got a good deal on one I'd probably be willing to fix the fit myself, but one the flip side, if I had the money I'd want to buy one that I knew would fit the first time.

Man I want to do a white FC with HID's in htat kit but so meany people seem to have it for some reson. Anyhow if you have body skilz go for it or if you have a shop do it. If you are just another kid down the road getting a kit you may have troubles puting it on.

I bought one from ebay raceon was the seller. They make kits for various types of cars. That had fitment issues and they claimed it would fit right. None of them ever do. Same kit by the way. A friend of mine bought the same kit as well and had the same fitment issues. You need to know how to do body work to get this kit to look descent.

got my kit from raceon....... very minor fitment issues, easy to work out..... decent quality!

el nene 7 also has the same kit, his was the same fitment as mine...... so the odds are on your side...... but dont ever expect a fiberglass body kit to fit right..... its not gonna happen

I appreciate everyones comments! I will have my cousin do it up at his body shop. I might just remove the front bumper and see how the fitment, then send the car over to his place.

I think I am going to keep the oem car color.

IMO as a body man...any kit you buy whether its a multi thousand dollar japanese import kit, and ebay kit, a veilside this that or what ever...you will ALWAYS have to do body work on it regardless...

Therefore, an Ebay kit which can save you approx. 700-1000 over the cost of a supposedly "professional fitment" kit...that money (not all of it mind you) can go into fitting and preparing the kit.....and therefore you will come out on top in the end.

Go for it.
