Unhappy HELP!!! bad sounds while idling & clutch down

Ok guys, I need some serious expertise and don't just respond and say "Throw-out bearing" because it's been replaced twice.

sorry, just sick of people saying that.

Anyway here's a breakdown of what's going on:

CAR:
87 GXL, total stock equipment (switched out a transmission from another of the same car, that's about it)

SOUND:
When the car is idling between 500 and 750 rpms (yes sometimes it idles at 500) and I have the clutch pedal depressed I hear a sound that sounds like the clutch may be rubbing against on of the plates but I'm pretty sure it's not. The sounds is actually loudest (and most felt in the pedal) when I back off the pedal about an inch or two off the floor. It seems to go away when I turn the wheel so I'm thinking maybe it's a hydraulic valve or something, power steering ya know.

MAYBE RELATED:
I just had to replace a friction plate in the clutch because after one year it started flaking off and caused so much dust to build up my clutch was slipping. Maybe I popped the clutch one too many times

I've checked the fluid, got enough. The throw-out bearing has been replaced twice, once used that felt smooth, once brand spankin new. It's done this with two trannies and three, count them three, clutch friction plates, and two pressure plates, the original and a new one that I got with the plate that went bad.

I don't know what to try next. Experts Help!!!!

Check your clutch slave cylinder. Check it's fluid. (it's a stab in the dark, but I WAS going to say throwout bearing
