Help!!! Alarm Won't Shut Off
I didn't think my alarm worked so I checked it by rolling down the widow, locking the doors and then I reached in through the window and unlocked the door. I then opened the door from the outside and the thing went crazy. I couldn't get it to shut off, I tried everything, I finally had to disconnect the battery. So my question is how do you turn off the alarm without having to disconnect the battery? I have an '88 SE, I just got it and it was the first time using the alarm

I will have to try that, I tried to start it like 50 times to get it to shut off, but that didn't work. Does it have a thing that disengages the starter or something?

Not sure if it cuts the motor too, but I am guessing that it should. Also, if I were you, I would put some sort of kill switch in your car. RX7's are not very hard to steal and I wouldn't rely on the factory alarm. I will try to post some pics of my kill switch tomorrow.

LOL, yeah it disages the starter. just stick the key in the door and unlock it, you might have to lock it from the inside first.
I had mine go off once when i unlocked and opened the driver side door with the key. I spent a few mins trying to get it to turn off, (at 11:30 at night infront of friends house...) lock doors, close, unlock, try to start car, ect. I finaly went around and unlocked the pass side door and it turned off. my alarm wires that connect to the driver side lock had come off.
