Help with a 91 tII boost/motor problem?

Ok so I personaly have ran out of ideas other than maybe bad grounds.
A friend owns a 91 tII and here is the problem, starts up fine ,and will give you 1 or 2 good pulls then after that it will fall right on its face like complete loss of power.Engine light comes on and want make boost.Turn it off and fire it back up same thing good for a few shifts then falls on its face.
Here is what has been done so far
New downpipe and exhaust so we know its not the cats
new plugs,wires
fuel pump
2 different ecus
changed out maf
fuel filter
car gets fuel~
new boost sensor
new tps
new omp
car was even taken to our local rx7 mechanics Kearney in dc who knows there stuff but they could not even figure it out.
Any ideas on what could be causing this.
