Help!!!

I just put on an jdm engine in my 89 tII. I intalled everything back the way it is and whenever I strarted it, it will rev up to like 3k rpm and it stalled. I cheked for everything and when I looked at the spark plugs it was burning way too rich. so I started messing with it going over and over everything posible and now the car will start and without touching the throttle will idle at about 5800 rpm and wont stall anymore. can somebody tell what tha hell is going on with my car.
Ill take any subjestions, really!
thanks.

again, you probably have a vac leak...

if not that, then probably a mis-adjusted throttle cable or cruise control cable.

Have you checked for vac leaks?
