Help

Removing my starter in my 86 GXL I pulled the wire out of a small black sensor of some kind that was bolted on with the main wire, now the car wont start. Nobody has any idea what this part is at the local part stores. Any ideas? I also have bad U-joints in the driveline, and they are built in, thus nobody carries them, is there a cheep alternative fix to a rebuild?

Car troubles:

As far as the starter goes, I can't help you. (sorry)

However, for your u-joints you have two options:

1) buy a whole new or used driveshaft.

2) take the driveshaft to an axle repair place (I got two new u-joints in mine for $150 bucs and now they are replaceable.)

If you could take a pic of the starter issue, maybe somebody could help you a little better.
