I have an 88 rx7 not turbo and i have two problems. the first is just a steering rack but i anyone has any tips i would appreciate it. the second is electrical, i have to use my jump pack to start it and once it starts my gauge shows that the battery is charging but just to be safe i tested it and it passed. when i shut the car off sometimes it will show a full charge sometimes it doesn't but when it does hold the charge as soon as i turn the key it instantly kills the battery. i've had this car for a long time and i really need to get it working. one more thing, i was wondering if i could eliminate power steering by using a manual steering rack. thanks for you help. my email address is bbishop1895@yahoo.com. sorry if im not supposed to post my email address here i wasn't sure.

 

I can't help you on your electrical problem, but yes, you can swap in a manual rack to get rid of power steering.
