help on 1990 n/a 6 port info.
hi, first of sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
i am fairly new to the 7 and am trying to make one good car out of two, finishing up with a 1990 n/a and was hopeing someone could point me to some info on the air pump system and how it works, more importantly now i have removed it and the air pipes as they were all kput. i have now been told that this would of run the 5th and 6th port (?), any links on this and what i need to do to rectify this. also one of your links on removing the air pump mentions a v.d.i (?) help(please).
if the air pump is the only way to run the 5th and 6th ports can i install an electric secondary air pump from something like a v.w or opel ?. if so when would the original air pump switch to the 5/6 port. i have trawled through some of the threads and f.a.q s but not found what i am looking for yet so if its there sorry and could you give me a point in the right direction. Lastly i was wondering if anyone had managed to match an air mass meter to their car so they could remove the air flow meter (if its poss.) and free up a bit of space whilst removeing that humongus eyesore.
