Hello all
Hey all Just thought i'd stop in and say hello to all you rotor heads ( i would include myself but i'm saying hello)
I purchased myself a 1987 RX-7 SE for 150 dollars in U.S. Currency SO far the problems i've discovered it to have is a non functioning fuel pump and a need to be replaced add coolant sensor ( which i want to take a sledge hammer too CUASE GEEZ IS THAT FRIGGIN THING ANNOYING!!) it has a 13B rotary N/A engine. I basically bought it cuase even with the fender dent's that fact it doesn't start up ( well on it's own.. throw a midget under the hood with a windex spray bottle full of gas and you can go about a mile) i knew i could still sell it for more if need be. And i kinda wanted it to be my Rice Rocket( key word being rocket!) I've found a possible fender donor car so i have that part fixed and i've also found a possible part's car ( at least for the fuel pump).
My future plans are to get the exterior fixed up and paint it pearl aqua blue and add airbrushed images to it. a single bolt dual support racing wing ( i'll make one myself if i have to!) twin turbo charge with either T13's or T25's Street port plasma treated aircraft aluminum rotor housings custom exhuast Cold Air Intake 3 bar map sensor turbo timer Boost controller E6K haltech EMS MSD Blaster ignition coils ported throttle body and oversized injectors with a 4 core radiator with twin electric fan setup and oil intercooler ( also electric fan setup) i also plan on blow off valves to prolong turbo charger life and a pop off valve to prevent overboosting.
ALso Since it's a hatchback which are good for DB drags. I plan on getting a deck with a flip up display ( which i have planned to also act as a laptop for the E6K EMS with saved pre programmed normal driving and racing settings) Pioneer compnent rear speakers In Door mid bass driver's along with midrange driver's and tweeter's a mid dash pioneer 6x9 and a Rockford Fosgate 800*4 amp to power two cerwin vega 12 inch stroker's. For the interior i want to add bucket seats Just not sure which one's yet. So Yeah i'm probably gonna get flamed for all i mentioned but oh well *grabs the Brat's and hand pttied ground beef after strapping on flame proof suit and waits to start BBQin*

Actually i was planning on doing this over a span of 2 to 3 years+ and doing alot of the work myself. A rotary is new to me but I don't expect it too take to long to get aquinted with I'm usually working on V8's or my Chevy beretta.. ( POS) so far the engine rebuild count for V8's is 2 one for my ( yes i said MY) Camaro Z28 from the 83 year ( pos) and a 1977 buick elektra bored .030 over. ( also POS) but as for being ambitious.. hey.. it's good to be young and want to live fast and die old or middle aged.. and actually I know a guy who could make me a header for about 20 bucks ( I love him). the expensive stuff is going to be the turbo's, ems, 4 core radiator, oil intercooler with fan, turbo timer, custom oil piping, heavy duty oil pump, boost controller, blow off valve, fuel pump, Sound system ( including deck), and the pop off valve. Wait.. Double those years.. i forgot having a girlfriend double's the time of a project.. possibly triples it especially if it's a car.. although i will make sure she never get's the keys to it when it's done... women drier's scare me.. they go slow.. like 50 down the highway.. but they take corner's and go that fast in town too.. and NEVER check their mirrors or blind spots. and after i get her done my baby get's a scratch on it and i'm casterating someone!
