Arrow Hello 7 Club

Hello 7 Club,
I'm exhausted.. After spending all day scouring my FSM and my Haynes manual i'm still having trouble getting my transmission to slide back into place after my clutch job. There is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap that wont close. It closes when two shove it into place but it seems to spring back with a feel of rubber. (No hoses are in the way) Can you provide a Military Rotorhead some Ideas?

Ps. the majority of the dampener springs on the clutch disk are pointing towards the tranny. So tired....

You probably just need to wiggle it up and down and side to side to get it in there all the way.

A couple of things will help:
1. If you make pilot tools out of bolts. What i mean is find a long bolt the same size as the tranny bolts you took out. Then cut the head off of them. Thread them in to the tranny bolt holes and use them as a guide for the tranny.
2. Once you get the tranny up and close to the engine, make sure the splines are lined up (you may have to turn the driveshaft a little).
3. Most important, raise the back of the tranny as high as you can get it, and then wiggle it in to place on the engine.

I changed a transmission once and had the same problem, when I looked under the hood the engine had pivotted, had to jack it back in place.
