Heisitation (not at 3800rpm)
when I'm driving around the gas seems to cut off and I won't accelerate anymore then after a second or so it will pick back up. Its really annoying, but I have just noticed that it only does it if I have over a 1/4 tank of gas. What could the problem be?
It's the fuel filter at the end of the fuel pump. Pull it out and clean it/replace it. It's very simple to do. You can purchase the replacment filter at your local Mazda Dealer.
Also, it helps if you put what type of car you have and any mods you've done when you have problems like this.

We're talking about the in-tank fuel pump pickup.
It's best to replace it, but if you're a cheapskate like me:

If it's never been replaced then it's just a sock that gets clogged easily.
