GA Heater Core Leak?

I never put the carpet all the way back down after re installing my engine. I noticed that there was some liquid around the cpu area and it hasn't rained on the car here in Atlanta.

The fan box is already out of the car, so I think im pretty close to it. I can't seem to find the heater core in the TM though. Or am I just having a brain fart?

The heater core is inside the big center box, sitting on the trans tunnel.

I think the dash must come out first.

yes dash comes out (its not that hard, it can be done with the dash almost fully assembled), and then the heater is right there

That's what I thought but since my dash already is out, I couldn't be sure.

The dash doesn't have to come out to replace a heater core. There's a plastic panel held on by 2-3 screws that must be removed. Stick your head up under the driver-side and pull the carpet away from the transmission tunnel. The core can be disconnected from the inlet/outlet lines and slid out. It may help to remove the seat so you can lay flat on your back.
