Well, only thing I know for sure is that the heater WILL work without the AC belt on. Why do I "know" this? Because it is cold as shi* here in Kansas right now, and I stay warm. I cut off my AC belt last summer when my compressor froze up. Still haven't reinstalled the new one, so I still don't have a belt on it.

Hey i'm having the same problem. the logicon will light up the different locations to flow the air, but it always flows out the front, and the defrost never comes on, which i badly need. the air is always cool too, never hot or even warm when i move the temp control. when i move the control from cold to warm i don't hear any mix motor... how can i fix this problem? do i need to take the whole dash off? I really don't wanna do that and if i took my car to the dealer or some kind of specialty shop, anyone know how much they might charge and also how much labor(hours) will be needed to complete the job?
