I dismantled a series four turbo. It has two heat shields before the turbine blades. One heat shield over the other heatshield. The inner or most fwd heatshield has three tabs on it, as shown in the picture.

A series FIVE I dismantled last week only had ONE heat shield prior to the turbine blades.

There's no HT18-2s turbo manual on the web to my knowledge.

So if there's someone out there that has rebuilt several series four turbos, HT18-2S, I'd like some input as to the heatshields.

Then again, I've another turbo laying on the bench that I could tear apart. Don't wanna. Lazy.
