heat shields/heat wrap/turbo insulation

My buddy is able to hook me up with a china brand turbo blanket, but after reading an article claiming the cheap materials used to make them can catch on fire, i'm not sure if I want to use it anymore. Anyone use those with good or bad reviews?

Anyways, I have the stock s5 t2 heatshields, I was thinking of buying some heatwrap and trying to use both heatwrap and the factory shields, I noticed there are only a few bolts, I think 3, holding them on there. I know how much of a pain the wrap is. You soak it in water, wrap it tight, and get fiberglass splinters itching the crap out of you.

What do you guys use? I know a lot of people use the heatwrap on the downpipe, but not too many on just the turbo. I'll also be adding reflective tape on my LIM. I need ideas, insight.

I used a china blanket on my high flow. It worked very well, smoked a bit for the first couple of drives though. Thing was when I pulled it off the insides had all degraded and it pretty much ripped to bits getting it off, dust every where, ok fair enough it was good untill you remove it, but what turned me off was that the turbine housing was blued from over heating, so I wont be using a turbo blanket on a rotary again. got the new turbo ceramic coated, we'll see how that goes, might make a "soup pot" heat shield if it needs it. Will be wrapping the down pipe. Manifold is getting ceramic coated, and wrapped if it needs it.
