Dose the stock heat shield on a 91 TII real need???

If you still have stock turbo and manifold I would keep it. Shiz gets hot around it without.

You should then make a heat shield or wrap it to prevent baking all the rubber in the area of the turbo. Keep engine bay heat under control and things last a lot longer.

It's suggest making a heat shield to keep the massive heat from the headers away from the lower intake manifold and all associated plumbing. Wrap them as well.
