when i slide the switch, my a/c blower clicks on and starts blowing decently and then clicks off immediately. I searched and many ppl have problems with the logicon only working on max (something i can live with). but when i put mine on max it blows sooooooo gently, much weaker than how it blows when i initially turn it on. I dont' mind the cold days here in socal because i don't need that much heat but during the summertime my a/c is useless. what can it be and how do i fix it? relay? new logicon? thanks guys

The clicking sound is a relay(switch) I believe, maybe the switch in the logicon is dying?

haha. any help is appreciated and no comments like that will be posted, at least not from me. you have a good point there though. I've done alot of searching and come across relay problems and how they've gone "cold" so i'll problem go ahead and try to resolder them

if it is some sort of switch you can take apart the logicon with the neg pulled, get it operational while open (maybe) and then watch the relay or use some sort of metal or something to force the relay closed and see if the blower stays on good pwoer.

Sounds like some sort of power loss, metal in the relay (I think their metal or something) is moving back.

get a multimeter and see where the voltage drop is, if its from the output to the blower then look from there back, keep tracing.

 

I had this same problem, it ended up being one of the relays that are located to the right of the blower motor...one is round shaped, and one is square shaped with black rubber boots protecting them. I forget which one I replaced and what their proper name is...but I can look it up and let you guys know.

I picked the relays up from the for sale section for like $10

it sounds like something is shorting, and the only way to really find out what is doing it is probing around with a multimeter. You can just start replacing stuff and hoping for the best, but that can get pricy. The blower motor is controlled by a breaker in the drivers side footwell (with all the fuses) that it sounds like you keep tripping because of excessive current draw. It may be an issue with a bad relay, or it could be something with the motor itself.
