headligths won't turn off

i decided to try and clean up my engine compartment some so i sprayed liberal amounts of simple green in the engine compartmetn then hosed it out. now my headlights won't turn off most of the time. i have to pull the fuse to ge them to turn off. they have shut off a few times but as soon as i turn the lights on they stay on. when i sprayed i sprayed standing at the fron of the car so i don't think i got any of the light stuff wet at least not more than a few drops. anyone got any ideas this is really starting to **** me off. i don't know if it makes any difference but i turned on the high beams with the car off and the highbeams do come on, so i know i didn't do somehtign stupid like hitting the switch. one of these days i'm going to find those ******* electrical gremlins

it does this even when the water has all dried? Maybe the simple green ate away the insulation on the wires or something, and now there's a short.

the ismple green was only on there for about 5 mins. and it is only corrosive to aluminum. i sprayed it 3 days ago and am still having problems and the fuse would be dried by now. if there is a short how would i find it?
