Headlight info you may not be aware of

Since I've owned my car, my driver side headlight never came close to being flush with the hood when the lights where down. It finally got to the top of my priority list tonight and so I brought up the FSM on the computer in the garage and I did both the adjustments it list: adjusting the down position stopper and removing the motor to adjust the manual crank (not sure why the motor had to come out, I could reach it from under the car while it was installed) until the retractor arm is in the full down position. Niether of those adjustments got the light to come down flush. As I was down there looking at stuff, I noticed that the bracket that the retractor motor mounts to is held on by 3 bolts, and the holes for those bolts are slotted. I loosened the bolts, pulled down on the bracket, and tightened the bolts. Now the head light is flush

Sweet, that could help for a bumper that is a little sagging!

Thanks.
