headlight aiming

is there a way to know if your headlights are aimed in the right area? like park in front of a wall so many feet away and shine your lights so far up the wall.
cause i boought some new headlights off ebay and im trying to figure out if they are garbage, or just aimed wrong.

Well I got lucky and it was foggy when I put my new Sylvania Silverstars in. Fog works well, or a wall. You could also just set your old screws back in to the marks. Mine had dirt marks on them. Hope this helps.

i parked right behind my friends van and adjusted then drove a bit to see how they were then adjusted again. it would be easier to use a nonreflective surface though so a wall would be better to try this with.
