Question Headers

I want headers but I don't want it too loud - what is best?

Also, what is a good type of performance muffler for a '88 non-turbo?

Well, headers will be loud. Espically since they don't just bolt right up. I reccomend (as most will) Racing Beat header. If you buy that, you will have to get a presilencer, as the stock cat will not bolt right up. As for cat back, you can go 2 routes:
1.Quiet w/ decent performance:Racing Beat catback
2.Louder than HELL, but better performance:Apex N1

Both routes are pricey, but most guys will reccomend the Racing Beat stuff. It IS the BEST. www.racingbeat.com I am awaiting my Racing Beat header, presilencer, and N1 single cat back.

The short rotary exhaust ports make an extremely sharp pulse that tends to make a ping sound in tubular headers. The loudness depends more on what you do with Cats, presilencers, and mufflers.
