If your 6th ports function ( 89+ engine ) will headers destroy/bring up your MPG?

Hurt gas mileage, youre kidding right? Headers will improve your gas mileage by making your engine more efficient. Look at my mods in my sig, and I get 22-25 mpg mixed city/highway on 93 octane.

I'm striving to be like you Mazdaspeed, with a few discrepensies. Engine rebuild + Streetport in the next month. CAI in the wheel well. RB Header/Collector ~> Pre-Silencer ~> Single Muffler. Electronic 6th ports + Pineapple Racing Sleeves. That and I'll keep my creature comforts ( A/C and P/S ) All the rest... I'm there

Your MPG may go down only because you will be having more fun making more power at higher revs. With your setup the header will be somewhat louder also

SureShot has a very valid point.

More power at high rpms = staying at high rpms because its fun! = poor mpg

i have a mindtrain header. love it! more power, and as stated above, my mpg only went down because my right foot tends to go down more often.
