Unless you're using something unwieldy like a 1/2" drive ratchet, you should be able to get a 3/8" drive in there OK. It's tight, but you ought to be able to at least get it to break loose. Got A/C and power steering pump in the way, right?

Yeh, you won't be able to "ratchet" it too far, so you have to position it so you can get at least an inch or two of "oomph" before you run out of room...If you want, get some of the easy stuff out of your way first, i.e. plug wires, then try to shove the A/C lines & such out of your way just a bit...

I dont see how you don't have the room for it. It might be a little difficult to torque it off. Try this, get the rachet on there and put a long pipe over the handle of the ratchet. Make sure the spark plug socket is completely on the spark plug before torquing it a little. Break it loose first and the ratchet it slowly. You can also try it from the bottom of the car, it may be easier for you. Also make sure you are turning it the right way... rightey tightey lefty loosey.
