Having problems with fuel pressure regulator and relays!

I just had the wonderful experience of buying my first RX7. Despite efforts otherwise I was totally unprepared and ended up with an 87 Turbo that is missing many of the relays and seems to have had various strange things done to it.

Whoever owned it previously has the vaccum line from the fuel pressure regulator hooked directly into the intake manifold. Will that even work at all, or do I need track down a valve and the proper relay?

The missing SOLENOIDS and vacuum tubes probably can be bought on this forum in the For Sale section.

It'll work fine just like that. You probably can buy the SOLENOID for cheap in a wrecking yard or on the For Sale section on this forum.

Use caution if you buy them on this forum. The people selling them are mostly clueless about their function and if they are selling you the right parts. You'll be buying a pig in a poke.

There's a free, online Factory Service Manual . The site is somewhere in a thread called FAQ.
