Brain storming now. Only considering a cat-back system now.
Both for emissions and SCCA class.
And I'm just not interested in investing Racing Beat money. And spending $500 for a decade old exhaust sounds unreasonable to me.

Additionally, I really want to get this done within the next week before I move.

You can make anything fit dude if you take it to a shop. They can weld prebent mandel sections too. It's a question of whether you will be happy with the sound (in the long run... will it irriate you after 2 or 3 years?) or not. The most expensive exhaust is the one you end up replacing because you aren't happy with it.

I'm just hard pressed to believe that the only pleasant sounding RX7 exhaust comes from Racing Beat, and it can't be recreated with a different brand.

There are so few good audio clips of custom dual set-ups online, so it's difficult to do research.

Well to help out on this on my 87 t2 i put a ebay down pipe and test pipe 3 inch diamiter, then went to a local shop and had them run the rest. It's 2.5 inches in diamiter with 2 fart cans with 4 inch tips. Its loud and proud. I love it the spool is fast and hard it is a show when it shoots fire. i figure if someone wanted to they could do this set up and then remove the test pipe and put a high flow race muffler in here to try to quit it down. The one thing to rember is a rotory has its own sound and if you love the car you love this sound.

It can be recreated, it will just take some experimentation.

I'm quite happy with my exhaust made with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator and two generic style DTM flow through mufflers. It's quiet from 2K - 3K RPM and then gets louder at that point, which it should. At idle it is a bit strong but that's hard to avoid with a bridgeport. It did take me years to get it this way though. I went through a few different midpipe/resonator combinations before I found the Vibrant resonator.

It really is hard to beat the RB REVII though.
