I know dieselgeek (scott), the guy involved with the production of the ems-pro (formerly known as phantom). I'm not too sure on the quality of the filters, but I do know the mesh is not stainless steel, so don't get it wet and keep it well lubricated.

I can't speak for their products, but their site is annoying as hell. Apparently they hired someone to build it who knows absolutely zero about usability.

Yeah I don't like the site either but I was browsing thier catalog.

The air intake I was thinking of doing (minex this flex pipe, my luck it would melt), was a cone air filter (I was actually thinking of going for a K&N instead of thiers) to two of thier "velocity funnels." Basically it goes from the cone to either one or two chrome funnel shape ends in the bumper.

If anyone is neer an autozone ask to see the 2007 Spectre Performance catalog (they damn well best have it lol). Page 87-88 shows the velocity funnel single (they show a dual earlier on if you want to flip through the first 10 some-odd pages) and page 90 shows the setup I was thinking of doing but I beleive I qould be going with only one filter and funnel.

I work at oreilly's auto parts and I was flipping through the catalog and it says 1.9L for a third gen. Dont buy stuff from a company that doesn't know the engine size of the cars they make parts for.

Thats a domestic focused company. I know a number of my customer's with muscle cars have used some of their stuff before - no real "complaints". But they don't stack up quality wise to the other domestic focused company's such as Year One, Jeg's (mostly performance from Jegs, but a large domestic provider)

Soooo, probably not a "bad" choice, but I'm sure you could make something better and cheaper yourself. I mean, its an intake - you're not building a 4-2-1 header or a shorty header that wraps around a steering shaft.
