I'd like to have a majority of my after market gauges in the center console. I'm not a fan of A piller pod mounting. Has anyone ever relocated the temp controls or the idiot lights some where else in the car?

ReTed did it to his car, he extended the wires, although if you took the dash out, and re route the harness the wires probably mostly reach.

actually if you wanted to be really crazy, you could separate the face of the logicon from the guts, and then put the face anywhere

What you propose is possible but the list of reasonable "anywheres" is extremely limited.
You need a relatively large flat surface that's within arm's reach and preferably, easy to see as well.
You'll need room behind it for wiring and a way to mount it.

Not a trivial move.
