no but I have driven one with it removed and it sucks to manually put the top up.

weight reduction and vert don't really go together

well i know a coupe is lighter, but i wanted to try something different than my other projects and i decided to get a convertible.

in my old mustang i took the motor out and it wasnt that hard in putting the top up and down, but i know that the rx7s have the targa top.
is that why it was a pain in the *** to move it manually up and down?

I thought it was heavy and awkward. At least when compared to the miata top.

nope. You might need to search. I did a quick search and found nothing so I might have to do a better search but I'm finishing something up at work. If you can't find the info by the time I get home then I'll help you search.

I know someone here did an itemized list with the part weights but it might have been for a coupe.

As far as it being WORTH removing, well, I personally don't think it's the way to go about reducing weight.

Is this on a DD?
