Harsh clutch choices...
I'm planning on purchasing a new clutch (finally) in the next month or so... (no hurry 'cause my cars on blocks...
) and I have narrowed the field down to an unsprung 6-puck and a sprung 4-puck.
What I'm wondering is if the 6 puck is gonna be any more rough than the sprung 4 puck, considering it shouldn't grab quite as hard....?
Also, anyone know of online sources for a sprung 6-puck? I know they exist somewhere and that would be ideal for my situation...
Thanks....

heh, I'm about to purchase a clutch as well. I'm torn between the ACT 6 puck, and the street/strip combo. I hate clutches. I never want to buy another clutch for a long long long time. Because of this, and it's capability to hold any kind of power I can through at it...I want the 6 puck. But I have a lot of people saying they are a total bitch on a street car, and then others say it grabs, but it's fun and streetable....I'll find out

I have a weird setup, I have a clutchnet 6 puck sprung disk with the pressure plate from a centerforce. What happened was i needed a new clutch pretty badly and the transmission was out of the car anyway because it was shot, so I wanted them to do the clutch too, but the clutchnet was all they had on hand, but I didn't want to pay for the whole setup since it's pricey, and was in a hurry to get the car back, so they put just the disk in there for me. It works pretty well. It was ultra harsh while it was breaking in, but it's pretty good now. You can't slip it for very long tho or it starts to chatter pretty badly.
