Hardtop conversion
I understand there is alot of controversy about this topic lol and id like to skip all that and cut right to the chase, i see that over the years quite a few people have successfully done this, i know that the car for whatever reason weighs more than the hatchback if im not mistaken, my goal is to try this but with sprayfoam and fiberglass, sprayfoam over the ragtop than fill in ridges after i pull the sprayfoam shell ive created off the ragtop, then layer fiberglass and epoxy on the inside, then separate the fiberglass shell from the sprayfoam shell and voila! I have somewhat of a lightweight base to work with and mess around with lol, i might make some clips in the rear and transfer the front latches from the ragtop to the hardtop to make it easily removable, one thing thats gonna be kinda hard to do is seals i think. Has anyone else on here made a hardtop or know any easy ways to do this or know anyone that can make one for me?

.Heres a reference picture im gonna go off, probably gonna use plexiglass in the back unless i can find an affordable custom glass place.

Use the actual frame from the rag top as part of your hard top, especially all the sealing surfaces, rubbers and latches. At the very least, use the front portion where it mates to the windshield so you get a decent waterproof seal.
Pull a mold from a hard top car if you can. Even better, just buy a whole roof cut and weld the rag top frame portions onto it so it mounts nicely and seals properly.

No idea, I don't have an FC. You should follow up on that though, making a top from near scratch is a big project.
