hard starting

after running methanol, i noticed my car had some pretty hard starts, in fact today, it wouldnt start without my help.
when it does start it goes straight to 1rpm, and runs like *** for a few seconds till it builds to 3k. i can usually hear a sudden loud squeek when it hits 3, but i dont think thats related.
i dont have the ***** to check spark on the plugs, last time i did that i almost electrecuted myself.
im noticing no loss of power (besides that its hot as hell outside), but today it wouldnt start after 30 seconds of cranking. what i did that worked was i pumped the gas pedal for a few seconds while cranking, very quickly; then it started like nothing was wrong. i still have a diluted solution of methanol in the gas tank. high octane = bad starting?

1 rpm... that's hella slow .

Just set the lines on the side of the car and look for spark. Like, around the strut tower (or whatever that thing is called).

oh yea.. it seems to do this randomly lately. some starts, it cranks once, i swear to god once, then fires up, it usually takes 6 cranks. im suspecting its a flooding problem due to it happening on seemingly cold starts. after doing a injector dump, the car started up with no problems.
