hard bucking/hesitation under low idle

i was in a parking lot today and i took my time featherd the clutch and at about 5-10mph my car bucked until id give it a good shot on the throttle. at higher rpm's it wouldnt do it. the rest of the way home i was worried but that was the only time it did it?it was almost as if it wasnt getting any fuel but wouldnt it be at high rpm's if it was my fuel filter? thats my only guess! someone please help.
