Hand Held Tachometers- Recommendations
I'm looking for info on getting a hand held tach (not a guage) for working on RX7s.
Does anyone have experience/preference for a particular brand/model? If so, why?
I want something accurate and compatible with the rotary (some vague memories about rpm/spark pulses something something....)
Any problems?

I assume you're talking about one with 'rpm' capabilities? I have a DMM but not with that type of feature. If I can get a tach that plugs into the connector on the coil then I don't have redundant tools (what am I saying? Should always have multiple tools! ) and it would possibly be cheaper. Thanks for the idea, I'll be checking on it.
