GXL to turboII

I just picked up a turboII motor from japan general motors in montreal. going to be doing the swap in a few weeks. wanted to know if anyone has doe the swap before and had any advice or little tips. i am doing the swap with somone who has done a few of them before but just thought i would like to see some other views on it. thanks

No-one has done this before. I always thought it was impossible!!!

No one really does that. You can't just take an engine from another car and put it into yours, it doesn't work like that.

what year is your car , what year is the engine, are you going to run any mods, if so what are you planning ... etc etc

Did you at least try the FAQ, it has links to two very good information sources on the exact topic you want.

Surely you looked at the section that answers 99% of most peoples questions right?

the car is a 89, motor is a 91 i was told with under 60,000 on it.. as far as mods not much right away, just a boost controler, BOV, exhaust...little stuff at the moment. eventually i want to do a touch screen in the dash wired up to my lap top and run a e-manage or an aem ecu so i can play with my fuel and boost from the touch screen. also want to do injectors and something for suspension. still deciding on all that stuff though.

I'll make it easy. Drop it in, and run the n/a harness. You have to modify it a wee, as in extending the wires. Run the TII maf, boost pressure sensor, and ecu.
