I read up on the faq on how to do the conversion, however i am confused ( forgive my noobness). Anyways, i got a 86 GXL and the faq says not to interchange the parts with a 89-91 Turbo. However, i am planning to buy a 89-91 Turbo front clip from japan, therefore should i worry about the engine not fitting in my 86 chassis? Does the faq only mean not to mix parts with that engine with parts from mine? or that the newer turbo engine is not compatible with my older, but same generation rx7. thanks for lookin!

 

it means you can't change parts... but yes. you can put an S5 TII long block into an 86.
