While Im a HUGE fan of painted wheels, especially gunmetal and black, I just dont think the s4 wheels look good painted, too much surface. doesnt look too bad though.

i had a set of painted 10th anny rims that i sprayed black. had em on my yellow vert as race tires. i agree with the above comment that they have WAY too much surface area to look really good. i like rota slipstreams though, and they will be the next rims i put on my next rx7.

Those are the '88 only TII wheels. Seven slots instead of the ten that the '87 had.

I have painted mine gunmetal as well, but done a bit different.
The lip around the outside is polished mirror finish- the paint only goes as far as the turbine blades.
Also, I popped the center cap out, polished it to a mirror, and painted the "Mazda" logo red.
I don't have any pics, but I think they look great. The chrome lip and chrome/red really makes it look nicer IMO.

I agree with MikeL. Fix the headlights. You shouldn't drive around with them malfunctioning like that.
I like the wheels but they're sprayed on with $4.95 spray paint? They might look nice now (which they do) but I don't see them looking good for long.

I spray painted my 89 GXL rims white, and now they look like crap.
I can't wait to save enough money to get new wheels!

Hey leave him alone about the headlights. I like the drift style. Well, assuming you are a drifter, or into it.
