I just got back from ATTEMPTING to install the motor........ NO GO! there seems to be some sort of tab that keeps my TII driveshaft from shifting towards the passenger's side and I cannot get the motor nor the tranny to mount........I left Milpitas at 1:40 AM and I just got home....I am beat....I will try to figure out how to fix this problem.....also I am still having problems with the oil cooler lines.....to damn hard to remove.
well....I am at work and Tired as hell......I need help from you guys.....what is that tab underneath the car that won't let the bigger, thicker driveshaftmove towards the passengers side? I need to be able to move it that way in order for the mounts to line up...... Also....What it the BEST way to remove the oil cooler lines from the engine....I am afraid of stripping the bolt.......and it is tight as ******* hell......Thanks in advance.
Thanks....I am in Milpits right now......i have no problems with the electrical yet.....i'm having a problem with the fitment of the driveshaft.........there is some sort of hanger that will not let me move it which makes me miss the tranny and motor mounting holes by about an inch. If I install it without the Driveshaft I will still have this problem with that tab.......I toook a pic but the batteries died...I will post it tonight. Thanks for offering to help.......I will try to either cut off or bend that tab and If I cannot get it by then I think I will need help. Again Thank you very much for offering to help.

the motor is in as well as the tranny the only problem is that i do not have the right nuts and bolts. I have to go to the dealership and buy new bolts and nuts for the transmission, engine, radiator and oil cooler tomorrow. On saturday I will hook everything up to the ECU: motor, body, boost controller, air flow controller. On sunday my buddy is going to help me do fuel and oil lines and we are going to fire her up.

There isn't a benefit in going to the tII subframe/suspension on the GTUs, as it already has the tII brakes/suspension. The only thing it does, is saves you the trouble of swapping out the differential/halfshafts, by removing them individually. Other models, however, would benefit from the suspension (sway bars, etc) and possibly brakes (for you series 4 guys)

I am 95% complete......all I need now is a charcoal canister, a fuel filter and some of the fuses under the engine then it is all a matter of hooking some wires in the engine bay and pluging up the holes for the heater(removed the entire heating system under the dash.) I will go to the Junkyard tomorrow........then she will fire up.......WHOOOOO!
