i was on HWY 9 on christmas night and another car was coming in my lane in the middle of a curve...I swerved and lost control....all i saw was: side of mountain...then all black ( cliff 30 to 40 foot drop) then tree and BAMM hit the tree, the shitty part is that I saw people slow down to see and no one stopped until this Native American dood got out and came up to me.....he went home got water and gloves and chains and helped get my car out( the front end was hanging a lil over the cliff while still attached to the tree). The tree saved my life. I have had my parts for sale in the for sale section so I can have money to put my engine and crap into a GTUs...so far I am kinda selling stuff...but get this, i was kicked out of my house 2 days later....supposedly becuase I am a bum and I am never home ( I was at my buddy's taking the 7 apart and didn't come home) My only problem is that the car has to be out of my buddy's house by sunday...we are waiting for a cherry picker to be delivered then we will swap everything.....I thank all the people who have helped me out in my time of need amd all of those who have bought stuff from me...THANKS A LOT

Luckly for you the front Strut Bar was present. I see It took a beating too. It lessened the Impact somewhat.

 

i know, i was surprised that nothing else was damaged...the car turned on even while still attached to the tree, I tried to back out but I was in there pretty good, the front end was a little bit over the cliff so my rear end was slightly lifted and I could not get traction...the guy who stopped to help went home got chains and pulled it to the side...

 

we tore the car apart yesterday (11 AM to 11 PM) and we found that the rear passenger's sway bar link was broken, but we think it was there before the accident....It might or might not have caused anything...we'll never know...the car is just a shell BTW...being towed today....soon to be a cube.

I thought you were goign the same direction as the other car. Whenever I see people crossing the double yellow, I call the cops on them and report them as a possible drunk driver. No one seems to care about anyone else.
BTW you got lucky, glad its starting to work itself out in the end.

---Rear hatch glass
---ABS unit, ABS controller, ABS lines, Calipers, drilled rotors in the front, brand new brake master cylinder not more than 1 month old.
---interior pieces glove box, idiot lights and surround,misc. interior plastic parts,center console,shifter surround,side mouldings with turn signals ( parking lights?), whole carpet front and rear, seat belts (black) Mouse belt tracks with motors, gauge surround with the wiper switch missing...
---rear bumper
---heater vents and crap under the dash, I doubt those will sell...
---power steering rack but it is set up for no power steering.
---if it comes down to it i will sell my boost controller and SAFC, but i dont want to...i will hold on to those until i am really desparate.
then I will sell some parts off the GTUs my buddy is selling me...
