Well those Ronal R9s with their 35mm offset helps the handling quite a bit as well...

Great wheel, I had them on my old sport, night and day difference over the stock wheel.

Glad to see that rarest is holding the faith for the FC.

The car I did low 2:08s has 150 even at the wheel, and street brake pads.

Well since he isn't posting about his HP numbers.. He dynoed 140 hp @ the rear wheels with 6 ports wired open, k&n cone filter, Racing Beat cat replacement/presilencer and HKS exhaust. Only difference now is the Mazdatrix/Racing Beat True Dual system.. So what you gonna give him an extra 5 hp for true duals?

Almost all his mods are suspension and you also have to remember that the GTUs is geared to move.

My FC has similar mods.. 6 ports work, Racing Beat cat replacement/presilencer, Bora cat back but I run a Crane Cams Hi-6 digital ignition plus becuase I have an s4 my car is about 100 lbs lighter than his GTUs.. but I think my gut makes up for a lot of that..

Anyway we pull pretty even at a rolling start.. with him leading until I hit 7K and have to shift.. he goes to 8 and shoots about 3-4 feet ahead of me.. Well I have not raced him since I put on the catback.. that added a few hp and was weight reduction as well..

Kev we have to try that again soon :-)

Are you going to do the SR20DET swap and all that? Drifting is getting pretty mainstream, are you going to compete?

I remember last time I was with you in Mike's GSL-SE...

"Damn bro, how much do you weigh?!"

When is that event? This one worked well because I have Mondays/Tuesdays off.

Lemme know what what.

Btw...DAMN that's a gorgeous car! I'm not big on the wheels, but they're still not bad (glad you didn't go with some crazy wheel size though ). I'm all about the 15's...they equal acceleration .

Kev,

Not bad buddy! 2:18 is definitely respectable for 3rd time out.

Now get a vid cam so I can watch this MDS and take some notes

I have been thinking getting a 240 then SR20 it. Yes 2:08 but that POS has street pads and 4.11 worn out limited slip. I weigh 197 Ib. The car around 2500 Ib.

Thanks mang! Yeah, I was taking it easy once I saw the front right tire starting to de-laminate and chunk. *grin* Looks like the consensus is the Toyo RA-1 as a replacement.

I'd love to videotape it, it was soo cool. The only mount I've found is somewhat controversial:

http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant...tegory_Code=CM

It's the sunction cup one and I know lots of HPDE organisers don't like them. I would probably mount it on the back hatch. I've also been looking at the "Cone Cam".

What's your best time again for TH?

Cool, that is a good combination...the SR20DET is pretty bulletproof I hear.

Which chassis? S13? Hatch or coupe?

About the weight, I was referring to when you took me drifting in Mike's RX...you had a hard time getting your dorifto on since you had ballast in the passenger seat. *wink*

I am looking for coupe because I think it looks better. I don't think you were the problem. Rotaries just have a harder time breaking the tires loose that is all. I have learned a lot since then so now I would say it was not you that cause my problems.

Don't have my GTUs anymore, but I think I'll have more fun in my MR2.
