What is a rear diff from an 89 GTUs worth these days?

The whole diff assembly maybe $150-$200 depending on what part of the country you are in.

Just the diff itself... maybe $100.

BTW: the owners of the board have changed the signature rules to be only 6 lines of text and images total. You may wish to change yours before it gets seen and deleted since yours is past even the old maximum of 10 lines.

 

I'll change the sig, after this post, But i think this is worth more since, it is rare GTUs diff.

 

Yeah that is double or triple what an FC open diff normally goes for.

 

I tried for 2 weeks to get 300 out of mine, and eventually let it go for 250 plus shipping. It depends on how long you're willing to sit on it, bump threads, etc. I've seen people asking as much as 450 for them.

And yes, that's what they *continued* to do, as "ask".
