GT vs. N1 Apexi Exhaust

Im in a debate on what exhaust to buy for my 1989 N/A, either the N1 or the GT [they may not be the best but im set on going Apex and i know that duel is the best for NA thats why i might get a duel N1]. I know most of you will go and say racing beat but that sound and feel isnt for me and every FC i know has it. Im just wondering if anyone has either one of them and could give me feed back on how they like it.

are the dual N1 mufflers side by side or do they exit on driver and passenger side?

My current Turbo II has Apexi dual-N1's:

My old Turbo II had the Apexi GT-Spec:

I would pick the GT-Spec ANY DAY for the quality, the rarity, the light weight, the simplicity and ESPECIALLY the amazing and unparallelled sound... RB sucks nuts compared to the GT spec IMO.

The N1's have grown on me though, but I suspect it's due to the fact that I haven't heard the joyous sound of the GT-Spec for well over 1/2 a year...

Not true.

The N1's are so far my favorite system but I haven't used the GT Spec.

i had dual N1's for a while, but they were just too damn loud. Of course I had a streetport, header, and a high flow cat.

Apexi exhausts are cat back and start out at 65mm. Not good for turbo. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I wanted one until I found this out so I'm going with a full Corksport 3" system soon on my ride. I guess they're great for your n/a. Unless you got header with custom large midpipe. Beautiful exhaust, expensive though.

The Apexi N1 duels also have a cone insert available for them. I use them in my 88 na. It quiets them down a lot, it also slows the response a little too, but without the cones, they are just too loud.
